The factor to trigger skin Corn.

Factors cause Corn on the Skin

Bismillahirahmanirahim,  Did we know the emergence of corn in the soles of the feet, palms, or other body parts not infrequently makes the sufferer wondered why it can happen. If you are among those, then knowing the cause of the corn will facilitate healing and prevent recurrence. Corn is a layer of skin that hardens and thickens with a core in it. The average size of corn kernels is often termed "Corn wart " in English, and "Callus" in the language of medicine.

The problem skin called Corn most often develop on the soles of the feet, palms, toes and fingers. This is related to the cause of the skin itself is friction and pressure. When the skin area is subjected to repetitive stress or friction, it will try to protect itself by thickening its layers and strengthening its structure so this will cause an abnormal skin developing to that area.

However, when pressure and friction continue to occur, then there is some of the hard skin is poked into the bottom. Not infrequently irritation and infection occurred. If you have this, then the corn on the skin cause pain and inflammation.

The following are the factors that cause Corn:

  • Anything that causes pressure or friction on the skin.
  • Shoes that are too tight or too high (High-heeled), cause pressure.
  • Shoes that are too loose, causing friction.
  • Stitches inside shoes or socks rub against skin.
  • Do not wear socks when size of  Socks that do not fit.
  • The wrong way to walk, causing excessive pressure on some areas of the foot.
  • Running barefoot regularly, because the skin will thicken to protect itself Repetitive actions such as jogging or walking in a certain way
  •  Elderly, because the fat tissue in the skin is less, which means less bearing and higher risk of developing calluses and Corn.
  • In addition, people who often ride bicycles or use equipment without wearing gloves are also at risk.
  • Kneeling or elbows that repeatedly lean on the table can cause Corn and calluses.
  • The risk is also increased for those with foot deformities such as Bunion and hammertoe, as it is highly possible that the part will rub against and get more pressure than the shoe worn.

Prevention Tips
After knowing the factors that cause corn, then we will be easier in doing prevention and Treatment. Here are the steps that can help you reduce the risk of corn:

  • Wash feet with soap and water every night.
  • Use a scrubbing brush. Apply a special moisturizing cream after washing and drying it well and Do not use body lotion.
  • Wear matching shoes and socks with stitches that do not rub skin.
  • Wear clean socks every day and use powder to prevent perspiration.
  • Use gloves when using old tools.
  • When trimming toenails, cut them flat, do not cut the corners to the edge of the skin.
  •  Use a pumice stone regularly to rub the skin that begins to thicken by softening the skin first with immersion. Rub gently and slowly.
So what is the most understanding is with proper treatment corn can be removed, but can reappear without lifestyle changes as described in prevention points. Wallahuaklam.
